Osh State Medical University is a public higher education institution located in Osh, Kyrgyzstan. It was founded in 1951 as Osh State Pedagogical Institute. Later in 1992, it was reorganized into Osh State University. The university is recognized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan and the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation. It has also been accredited by the World Health Organization (WHO), Medical Council of India (MCI) and other international organizations.
The university offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs in various fields of study including medicine, law, engineering, economics, humanities, and more. Its medical faculty is one of the oldest and most prestigious in Kyrgyzstan, offering courses in General Medicine, Dentistry and Pediatrics.
